Default Thinking about changing direction

Like the title says, think about changin direction with the Vette.

The hot rod thing is fun but uncivilized. Thinking about doing a "modern C3". Only thing left that the car needs right now is a top (winter project)

Plan of attack would be:
1. Sell engine, sidepipes, wheels, all the restoration stuff in the garage.
2. LS-2 crate motor, under car exhaust, use the current Tremec.
3. 17" rims and good tires.
4. Suspension upgrade? Currently have FE7 setup with 460# coils, 330# TRW rear with KYB shocks. Maybe coilovers or the dual mount leafs front and rear. Maybe just some new bushings and Bilstiens.
5. Rack and pinion or the Jeep steering box
6. Hydroboost and add O-rings to the calipers. Or just the O-rings (planned for this winter anyway)
7. Vintage air a/c for those really muggy days.

Just toying with the idea right now. Maybe this is my "mid-life" crisis. Finally rowing out of the hot rodder stage.

Thats kinda like what I did. I took some insperation from the L88 road racers, some from the car on the banner from BF Goodrich and a lot from the pro touring look. Lot happier with it.

Nick,

Your car is great. You maybe the inspiration to stick with the sidepipes and small block. Add the 17" rims and A/C this winter. Maybe some suspension and steering upgrades.

Do you have any side pics with the new rims???

Edit: I am starting to think the sidepipes look better on a chrome bumper car. I still have the undercar exhaust (most of it) in the garage. Maybe use the $$$ for the sidepipes to fuel inject the current engine. So many ideas, so little money.

This is all i could find

Yeah i dont really like side pipes on a soft bumper car becuase they look more modern and chrome bumper and 73 look older.
