Default Sidepipe Heat shields ?

Looking to get sidepipe heat shields and so far these are the nicest I have found on a Cobra site for 225.00 chrome, or coated. Any one have any other suggestions for heatshields for 4 inch hooker sidepipes.

No pic.

I got mine from www.cobrastuff.com

$120 raw steel, $190 chrome, $200 coated + $15 shipping.

His standard length is 27" (this is what I have) but he can do 36" length for I believe $10 extra.

If you're afraid of shooting yourself, don't carry a gun....if your afraid of burning your leg don't run sidepipes

Not me, but the soon-to-be-ex-wife has a nice scar from the pipes. Plus my 8 year old daughter likes to ride in the car. Worth the $$$ for that alone.

Yes. They do get hot, but not hot enough to burn. So you know to remove your hand. The pipes WILL burn.

I made my own after a futile search for something I actually liked. The Cobra ones were too short (though, I understand Steve's guy will make them in 36" lengths now) and I didn't care for the slots. I found another cobra place that had them with holes instead of slots, but again, they were too short for my taste.

Here's the thread about them... http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...ht=heat+shield
