Well, I've been slacking the past few weeks to months.
The vette project has been creeping at best.

Yesterday I ordered new windshield corner moldings ... only $140/pr

Last night, I went to town hall and transferred my license plates (NHVETTE)
to the Corvette - and renewed for the year. So now, I am committed
to get her on the road within the next month. I need windshield,
seats, seatbelts, and bumpers to be road-worthy. I guess a hood
and new tires would be nice, but not required.

I can't show up at our next local 'vette tech session in a Honda.

Stay tuned.

It's about time, showing up in the honda isn't good for the neighborhood.

Always ready to lend a hand, when can we start....

Congrats Dave. It's getting soooo close. I think that you and TwinTurbo have a couple of the longest running projects on the forum. Once you're "done" it will be all up to TT to finish.

Thanks everyone. It's "only" been 4 years for me. TT is projecting into the better part of a decade.

It will eventually be black - but soon it will be in black primer.
I will be painting her myself someday - so I need to practice on
some of my beaters first.

Packy - thanks for offering the loan, but if I can't afford it - I'll
just sit in the garage and make vroom vrooom sounds.

... can't wait to get some parts in and wrap it up, drive around
the streets and hopefully some road racing tracks next spring.

I'm at the 4 year mark also, I know because it's been exactly 4 years since I suspended the road tax on my car (have to renew it every year and just renewed it 2 weeks ago) and I'm going like a rocket now ...I'll have a rolling chassis before you know it (tires are in..have to pick them up and slap some rubbers on the front....hoping my ebaring shims are in and some other stuff and I'm good to go)

Hey Dave,
At least you didn't walk away for a couple of years like I did! I'm anxious to get caught up on where everyone is with their projects.

You guys are still way ahead of me, although I'm determined to have a rolling chassis before winter. I'm taking this week off to hopefully get the frame rustproofed and painted, and I have lots of new parts to attach to the frame. I'm expecting a set of trailing arms from Van Steel next week, and hopefully they'll give me some credit for my old ones after they stop laughing. A Van Steel front end rebuild kit is in the box as well as a VB&P Street and Slalom suspension. Progress is a good thing as Martha would say.
