It HAD to have been stolen. Who would leave a C3 so close to the beach with a hurricane coming?
Wait a second, what's 145 mph winds to a C3? I know mine has seen 135 mph winds with no damage.
It ain't the wind that busts up your C3 (or takes your head off, for that matter)--it's all the shiz the wind has ripped off of something else that it slings into your C3 (or your head). Also, that car's on the beach, so it was probably totally submerged in the tidal surge, so that's the force of water and crap in the water, too.
Some people might have been out of town like myself. I have my 71 in storage down in Chalmette. By the time I got close to town they were not letting people back in. So I got out with my daily driver the Z06 and a few clothes I had from the trip I was on.
