Headlight door problem
I have a 1979 vette and I need some advice. When the driver side headlight opens up the headlight doors back edge makes contact with the back edge of the fender opening and sometime this stops the door from opening all the way up. The gap around the door seems ok. The door does sit lower than the fender and I dont know how to adjust it up. Thanks for any suggestions.

I'd get under there and check if your upper hood surround is rusty. This is the metal frame that is bonded to the underside of the body. Your headlight buckets are bolted to it. Mine was badly corroded and was preventing my lights from operating properly.
If its in good shape you probably need to replace the nylon bushings in your headlight assemblies.
