Windshield Replacement on an 80?

How much should it cost ballpark for a shop to replace my windshield?Just got a huge crack in the center of my window.Any info would be apopreciated.

Ballpark I've gotten from most of the glass companies here in town has been right at $200 and I've heard that from other people too. YMMV depending on where you are though.

Mine's cracked too, I just keep finding other places to spend that money.

$225 on my 80 they even came to the house and did the install.

Thanks for the replies.I called one place and they quoted me $309.I think I`ll keep checking around to see if I can get a better price.
Did any of you guys have any issues with rust around the window frame? My car is a California car so I dont expect to have any problems with it but who knows?

I got a quote for $120 for my '82 but the guy said that if the windshield frame was rusted out, it may need body shop work before he could install the new window. He said he has had one's that the windshield is what was holding the frame together. But his price was still $120, any other work I would have to get done on my own.

I'm thinking about doing the replacement on my windshield for a crack that is starting to spider. Besides the glass, what about all the old rubber seals around the windshield that are aging and cracking?

same for me in PA $225.00 and they did it in my garage.

Replacement of the windshield of my '80 in my driveway was about $180 in 2000. Probably $200 for same now.

I'm considering it for my '69 but fear what I may find (rot) when the windshield is removed...
