Default c4 to c3 conversion

Anyone ever heard of anyone dropping a c3 body onto a c4? I mean I've heard that c4s have better suspension, and the LS1 is a good engine, so has anyone ever taken a c3 body/interior and just dropped it on? Can it be done?

Not that I've heard of, but there are aftermarket frames out there for C3's that accept C5 or C4 suspension.

I don't think it's possible to drop a C3 body on a C4.

It would take a LOT of work to make a C3 body fit on a C4 chassis, so much that it woyuld alter the lines/dimentions of the car. Also the LS1 engine is found in C5's NOT C4's.

the frame is tubular and probably better than the production c4 frame.

Keep in mind, the C4 is a unit body construction whereas the C3 (and C5/C6) has a frame that the body attaches to.

As mentioned previously, there are numerous options for modifying the C3 frame to accept C4 and or C5 suspension components. Depending on just how much money you wish to spend, they go from modifications on a stock C3 frame all the way to a tubular chassis designed to accept the C3 (even C! and C2) body.

If I had a lot of money (like say... USD 150.000) I would buy a (wrecked) C3, sell everything but the body and transfer that onto the Z06 I'd buy as well. I'd keep my '79 ofcourse.

Hey, I can dream no?
