Had a great week off, spent it on the Eastern Shore at Mathews Virginia. Great week and great weather crab cakes, softshell crab, it couldn't have been nicer. Found this neat old service station that has been restored and was very cool.
My dad had a Philips 66 and then a Texaco for 22 years before he got out of the business, I grew up in the old type stations, washing windsheilds, pumping gas and the like, before self service. Thanks for the photo, I really like it! Hope to get there someday and see it for myself!!
Unforturnately didn't have the vette on vacation, it is photoshoped. The station is very cool and can't tell you much about it. No one was around when we stopped by. The photo is photoshoped, it is one of my hobbies. I kind of create different situations and background, but the service station is real.
If you are ever in the Vermont area you might go see the Hemmings gas station. They have old cars on display and they have full service car guys to pump the gas for you just like in the old day.
