Aww man. I was HAPPY with my 15.3 second run in my 76. Now I feel bad..............
Consider this, my 76 was SUPPOSED to run 16.5 seconds STOCK right off the floor. All I've done is true dual exhaust and a distributer recurve...... Also, a 15 second 2X year old car? Not too bad....really
One easy thing to do to cut that reaction time down is to take off when the last yellow comes on - as if it was the green light.
This won't change your ET however since your clock starts when you move, not when the green light comes on.

Also, make sure the trans is in "D" while you wait for the green light. Looks like you were still in "Park" when the light turned green!
My best run in my auto '76 was when I shifted the automatic manually. Took it up to the redline before shifting. This way there is no hesitation going from first to second to third.
My best 60' time was when I did not spin the tires off the line.
I made 14 runs at the track the day I was there and my best run was 14.5 seconds at 97.3mph. Just could not get that last 2.7mph to get into the 100 mph club.
Don't have my time slips here at work .
Needless to say, I am not runnig stock.
I had fun until we got to the elimination rounds and a guy with a C5 dialed in at 14.00 in our staging lanes. a C3(me), a C2 and F#$@ C5.
Can you say "Trophy hunter"

..... in-all-seriousness, that is what is exactly WRONG when tracks have a "14.00" bracket-style race:
the guy who can easily run quicker sits on a 'fat' Green-light, and simply out-runs his opponent to the stripe.
"REAL" bracket-racing pits smarts-against-smarts, not 'haves' against 'have-nots', and is maybe the only place where a guy can take his street-driven Corvette, and be competitive anytime, anyplace, in a weekly, national racing series.
