Default Color Code Help Please

I am getting ready to start replacing some interior trim pieces on my 75 Vette. I copied to the Trim and paint codes down that were on the door pillar. They are as follows (TRIM 73V PAINT 10L ) I have a couple of questions.... first, I can not find 73V listed in my catalog. My interior is red, and I wanted to see what color red it is considered. Second, my TRIM/PAINT decal on my door pillar is a bit hard to read. It has been partially painted over at some point. When looking at the paint code, I am not sure if it is ...ONE..ZERO...L , or small L ...ZERO...L, or ONE..O...L, or small L .... O.... L, or...you get the point

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Numbers don't compute for a 75

Upholstry codes were all 400 numbers
Vinyl = 400 Black, 406 Silver, 413 Neutral, 413 Dark Blue, 415 Saddle, 425 DArk REd.
Leather = 404 Black, 407 Silver, 416 Saddle

Paint codes were 2 digit codes.
10 White, 13 Silver, 22 Bright Blue, 27 Stel Blue, 42 Bright Green, 56 Bright Yellow, 67 Med Saddle, 70 Orange Flame, 74 Dark Red, 76 Mille Miglia Red.

Interesting... If this is correct, then my red Vette used to be a White Vette with dark red interior. I am planning on repainting the entire car... wondering now if I should stick with red or change it back to white I like the red.... so I may just go back red again.

Thank you both for the information

just to further clarify, the 10L actually stands for 10 "lower". almost all single color vehicles were marked that way. two tone vehicles like the 78 anniversary (silver upper and darker silver or grey lower) and the 78 pace car (black upper and silver lower) to name just two have 2 paint codes one designated with an "L" after it and one designated with a "U" to specify the upper and lower colors.

I wonder what the difference in color would be between dark oxblood vinyl vs dark oxblood leather?

I was talking to my dad today about the fact my car's color had been changed from classic white to red. While I was on the fence about the two colors, he has helped me make up my mind and go back with white. He will be the one actually applying the paint for me and pointed out a few things I had not considered. I am basically getting ready to gut the interior to add heat shield anyway... So while I have it gutted, I will pop off the doors, hood, ect.... and paint the car back white. White is a pretty color, tends to be a little cooler, and more forgiven when hiding small blemishes. (However.... red seems to draw more attention)

I do think a white vette with red interior will be a classy looking car... anyone agree? anyone with a pic showing those two colors?

Thanks for the help...

Why not spice it up a bit and use a white pearl? Still have originality, but much more attractive than plain white.

My vette wasn't originally red either, but when I repaint it, I plan on using red again. I just like the red color on a vette!!
