Is it necessary for the crossover cable for the hood release to be across the distibutor?
I think it looks ugly there, can it be semi-hidden behind the distributor somehow. Maybe even shorter, That's another
Q. Does it have to be that long.
Anyone rerouting that stupid thing semi concealed a picture would be appreciated.
By the way it's on my "78"
I just replaced mine and was wondering the same thing. I just put it behind the distributor against the firewall. I have not run the car since it was replaced - rear end rebuild.
I would also like some input from those in the know.
SkyDaddy I guess we're the only ones that think that thing is ugly going across there. I'm thinking about trying the same thing you're talking about, just trying to conceal it somehow.
Wow, I knew the later C3s were different in the hood area, but I never noticed that. The early C3 have the cable running in a neat stretch across the hood itself.
a few months ago,the plastic clip broke on drivers side..hood would not release.I think that "S" bend is necessary..why else would they design so much slack in the cable ? Just my 2 cents...
