The Elvis/Clam bake Corvette
I just saw the Elvis Movie "Clam Bake" and there was a Custom C2 or C3 in there.
Does anyone know about it or what became of it?
Thanks

This is from a google serch:
Sr. VP of Styling, Bill Mitchell had gasoline in his veins! He borrowed one of the two chassis that Zora-Arkus Duntov built for his ‘57 SS Racer project and created a new body, based on the lines from the Q-Corvette concept car. (see Illustrated Corvette Series No. 10 for the Q-Corvette story). Unfortunately, Mitchell also inherited the SS Corvette’s braking problems. The “Stingray Racer" had moderate success and eventually was put out to pasture as a show car and later as a movie star! The Stingray Racer had a brief scene in the Elvis Presley movie called, “Clambake.”

My guess would be it was a C2.
Probably sitting in a warehouse somewhere or even worse....

Here's a better link to an old Road and Track article about the car. I've got the original. Pretty good story.
