Ever since my cat got up on the T-tops in the garage....he must have did the NXT jig or something, because it looked like he was trying to stay up there.....
I used to use one that was advertised as "allows the car to breath". But around here in the late winter when it is cold and then we have an unusually warm day really quick I'd find moisture under the cover and in the interior (the car is stored in a garage). So now I'd rather have the car covered in a thick layer of dust than wet.
I do get some moisture on mine but that is just because of the temp change as mentioned above. I use a heavy car cover in the garage just for bumps and things hitting it. My kids are in the garage and wife and sometimes it gets bumped. I use it just for that type of protection. In the summer when the yare not around I leave it off. Winter the garage gets crowded. Man I wish I had a bigger garage, don't we all!
Car is always covered when not driven. Bought very good cover that breathes and have never found any moisture and I live in the snowbelt of Ohio. Car is stored in the winter.
We use one when we go away to campgrounds. We usually haul the car to a campground which usually have gravel roads and I cover it to keep the dust off. Other than that it's in a heated garage and drive it weather permitting all winter long.
I think it was the first day I used mine my puppy dogger thought it was a playtoy.
I still have the ripped cover and the dog.
I got one of those waxy car brushes and used that instead. Its quick to dust the car off in the garage and a lot easier to use. Car only got dust on it and usually parked in the garage with the top down.
All in all I doubt the covers worth the trouble. But thats me.
If it was outside in sunlight might be worth the trouble. A restoration site mentioned time life of a car outside, under a car port and in a garage. Outside really beats them up.
I used one once because it was being kept outside.
I don't use one now because my dog ate it and the cars in the garage.
I'm too lazy. I spend the money on other things.
Don't need it.
