I recently purchased a '69 coupe and need factory service manuals or copies of.
Ideas anyone?
thanks
You have four options...
If you have patience...eBay is a good source and you can pick them up at a pretty good price.
Factory Auto Manuals is a good source for used manuals...try this link: Factory Auto Manuals
Helms Inc is the distributor for GM and other auto manufacturers but you're buying new stuff.
Swap meets! Swap meets usually have just about everything but not necessarily any great deals unless you catch someone sleeping. At Bloomington Gold, I asked a vendor about a set of 2000 Corvette which typically go for anywhere from $100-120. I picked up a set for $50.00!
So you can find some deals. Hope this helps.
Another source is the NCRS website - www dot ncrs dot org
not "publications" , but go down to the link to the "NCRS Online Store" and you will find GM service manuals there.
hmmmm.... $25... smart shopper can probably do better.
I bought a complete factory manual on CD from e-bay for my 79, I think it was around $20.00. I'm happy with it as it contained everything I'd need to know along with all GM part numbers for every part on the car. It also has detailed pictures of every part in a assembly. I just find what info I need and print that page so I have in the garage if I'm working on something. I'm sure a complete book manaul would be nice to have also if someone wanted one. My 0.2
