Default Pan & Tray for 383

Can some one recommend a pan and windage tray for a 383. I would like something I don't have to ping with a hammer to get a good fit. It will be going in a 65 vert. Thx, Lee

nothing is comparable to the Canton road racing pan for the corvette. They used to list a pan for C2/C3. Give em a call, they probably still have them.

Default Note of caution, I have the Moroso

windage tray that attaches to the center main caps and I am sometimes having a bit of a problem getting the stock oil dip-stick to go completely in. There is a hole in the windage tray for it to pass through but it's not quite large enough. Check this out on whichever pan/windage tray you get.

Good Luck

i used a moroso pan with a wiper built in and a flapper door to trap the oil under acceleration. had to trim the wiper with my dremmel for the 383. even came with nice stickers on the sides!

Can't you just cut the hole larger?

Default Yep, that's why I suggested you check it

before you put the pan back-on. It's not worth me taking the pan back off, I can get the dipstick in I just have to kind of guide it in.

That's true. DUH! I didn't think about that. Thanks for the insight. Due to this new & usefull info, I'll cut that hole bigger before I put mine on.
