Set up an E-bay and/or pay-pal account. Price your stuff including shipping. I found it easier that way. You will need a credit card on file with E-bay. I had no trouble selling/shipping Corvette parts.

If you and the buyer has a PAYPAL account (PAYPAL.COM), you can easily send money by simply typing in an email address and the money is sent. Ebay is also good. You'll get the most for your item, unless you feel some allegiance to the Corvette Forum folks and want to sell to them at a set price. I've found that the Forum folks know what they want and don't mind buying if the item is as advertised.

You can ship with whatever outfit you choose...Fed-Ex is a little cheaper, IMO, but UPS is more convienent...

Pay-Pal acknowleges the funds are deposited. You determine what type of payment...credit card, certified check or money order. Then you ship. You can also specify to use an "Escrow" service, for a small additional fee. Then the funds are released to you once the party receives his goods.

Accept Postal Money Orders. Once you and buyer have agreed on price and method of shipping/mailing and you have received the PMO, then you ship/mail part.

Just check in and go to your account and if you got paid, it'll be there. I use my paypal pot of money to buy other stuff from ebay. Don't do the money order, cash, personal check thing anymore.

Default Use UPS, NOT FED EX, My last 5 shipments from

JEGs/FED EX have been late and the friggin truck driver lies when he documents that I am not home to take delivery, the d__n packages don't require signatures. Sorry for the Rant.

UPS service has been excellent.

Highly recommend the Ebay thing, gets kinda neat when people start bidding wars in the last 24 hours. Be sure you cover yourself well if you include packaging and shipping in your price though. It can get pricey depending on the size, weight, and where you ship it too.

Good Luck

I agree, ebay is the way to go. It's actually fun. I've bought and sold a bunch of stuff there. I call it my "virtual garage sale". PayPal works great and is easy to set up - just follow the instructions. As far as shipping goes, I've found USPS to be the cheapest but they have size/weight limitations and you are in Canada, so that probably won't work for you. UPS is great, and their online shipping estimates are always right on provided you put correct info (destination, size and weight) into their shipping calculators. FedEx is always more expensive, so I don't use them. Good luck!
