Default 70 vert with 20 By 10s outback

Hey, I'm back with pictures of my car, its a ground up restomod that is about 95% complete hope you guys like it. Its 383 with afr 195s and all forged internals. If anyones wants to trade for my torque thrust 2s i may be interested. I now feel like they are way to big, backspacing is 5.25 with 285s outback fronts are 20by 8 with 4.0 backspacing. Other than that im glad to share my car with you guys/girls.

Maybe try lowering the car a bit and see if you still think they're too big.

Looks great to me. That's the way they would have built them if they had the tire and wheel technology back then. Good job.

Thanks for all the great comments!
I have offset ta's and long bolts with a trw spring. I think if i wanted to lower the rear, i would have to ditch the trw spring for a vbp spring.

lowering might make it look a bit sleeker, but like it is looks, to me, like it's ready to pounce on something

good job

Ask Norvell I think he cut the top block off of the TRW spring to lower it some. Or get the VBP spring to lower it. But I would keep the wheels way cool.

Thanks for the comments guys, i may try to lower the fronts by cutting a little bit of the coil, but in terms of the rear. the tire could run the risk of bottoming out on the inner lip of the rear fender. I paid $7500 for a paint job and have less than 500 miles on the paint and have already cracked the driver rearfender 3 inches ruining the paint. I don't have the money right now but i would have to plan on repairing and refinishing down the line. i believe aggresive turning/accelerating caused the rear to squat a little and the turning caused a little flex thus causing the tire to come in contact with the inner fender lip

what size are the back rims? did you have to use offset trailing arms to fit them? waht is the total size of the rear tire 285/??/20. they look awsome to me but it sounds like you need to update the suspension to help out with squat when taking off and hard turning. i would almost say that i would trade but i would be a little worried about how they would fit my car and also worried about pot holes.

the tires are 285/30/20's and the fronts are 245 or 255/35s. In terms of the suspension, i have vbp swaybars (front and rear) kyb's all around and sphearical strut rods, which could allow me to change the camber on the rears, i bought these wheels in the beginning of last summer b/c i thought groovy jays car looked great with them. the only difference between his set of wheels and mine are i believe for his rears his backspacing is 5.5 and mine is 5.25. So my rear wheel sits flush with the outer fender.
( i love the photo chop by the way)

I personally would prefer a smaller rim, but those don't look bad.... maybe a bigger tire would look better?

I also think the photo chop job looks very cool, I just don't know if it's possible to lower a C3 that much.

I agree - the rims will look perfect if you lower the car.
