What Mounts Here???
I've been intending to ask if anyone knows what is intended to mount in these bolt holes? The air dam clearly has cutouts for something as well. This is on my 1980.
hard to tell what we're looking at, are those holes at the bottom of the rad support? Does your car have A/C? Maybe those are holes to mount a/c condensor (educated wild a** guess)

Yes... bottom of radiator support. Already has AC with condensor mounting to the front of the radiator. The molding in the air dam for "something" is what caught my eye.

not a bad guess... but can't be... they are just indentations in the air dam and the bolt hole (with nut welded to bottom of radiator support) is perfectly centered in the upper part of each indent... originally thought it was for driving lights...but no way as they would shine into the back of our bumpers.
Take a look at the last picture... I backed away a little and you can see the center of my air dam and the location of these indents.

Is it a clearance notch for access to the rad support bolts?

Could someone please take a picture of their setup with what is bolted to this? Bubba must have removed something from my car as there was nothing bolted there on the old unit. Thanks for the help... Ed
