I finally decided to remove my clock from my '75 and give it a good cleaning, then send it off for repair (to ROGER) if needed. It works intermittent but only for a few seconds at a time.
I removed the wiper switch/air vent piece, then took out all the screws in the gauge bezel. Then removed the ***** and nuts from the radio. At that moment I thought the entire bezel would come out. It still seems to be caught at the bottom. Are there hidden screws/bolts that I can't see? If so, do I need to remove the shifter plate as well to get to them.
There are 2 studs at each lower corner that go thru the shifter console. 10-24 size nuts,(3/8) hold the bezel to the console plate. Remove these both and it will come out.
Yeah, you have to take out the shifter console cover and reach up in there to loosen those two nuts. They're a pain to see and even more a pain to get a wrench on...
