There was a small show in Eastern NC this past weekend that I was thinking about entering. I thought my car was too ugly so I declined. I should have entered because the show needed more Vettes.
It's at Texas Motor Speedway This weekend. Very large show 80 percent of the infield. Swap meet stuff, Rods, Muscle Car etc..
Saturday is the big day, and you can run your car on the Track between 5 & 8pm.
I went last year. It is limited to 72 and older. This is a first class car show. Last year there was cars from FOOSE, Boyd, Rad ride by Troy, etc. Lost of variety of cars. Also lots of vendors. Every Hotel from hotel around are filled with great cars. You can take your registered car around the track. I plan on going every year. To see everything it takes 2 plus days. This year the plan is to order ower Intro wheels and under dash AC

I'm planning on going Saturday. Not sure about driving the vette yet.
My vette is definitely a driver, but something about large event parking lots makes me nervous. Still trying to get over that fresh paint job first scratch mentality..haha
Last year the only C3 I saw was a 79 in the swap meet area for sale, but there may have been more pre 72's out there somwhere. My father in law and I spent hours trying to check the event out and STILL didn't make it through all of them. I'm sure there were many nice cars we didn't even make it to see.
Oh well, if anyone makes it out on sat. come by and say hey.
And I'll snag some pics for the forum gang.
I'll be sport'in this '71.
Hi Jake1. Saw your vette yesterday at the show, but didn't look like you were around. Nice ride! I really like the stripes on the left fender. Sets the car off!
I have a 79 so couldn't be in the show, but lots of great c3's this year. My father-in-law and I were also scoping out the 1940ish fords as he's preparing to build or aquire one. Great show all around!
Sorry I missed ya, got tired of cook'in in the sun and had to see the rest of the cars, and had to get away from the "bubbas" next to me trying to sell a fake 440 Charger Roadrunner. That pissed me off they just thought it was so funny and cool, that they were selling a clone.
P.S. Thanks for the complimements.
