Default Busy Weekend Coming Up

Following things I have to fix on the 72. Parts should get here this week. Will be replacing the following parts this weekend.

New timing chain cover and seal and gasket, of course this means new oil pan gasket. (timing cover gasket leaking)
Harmonic balancer
Upper control arm bushings (while they are easy to get to with everything removed)
PS Pump (leaking)
Control Valve (leaking)
Power Cylinder (original is bent and leaking really bad)
New PS hoses
Radiator and new hoses
New fuel pump and connecting lines (old rubber lines are cracked)

Everything is off except the oil pan waiting for the new parts to arrive. All my ps stuff is here. Waiting on everything else, had everything shipped 3day so it should be here for the weekend.

Debated on whether or not to change the timing chain and gears but decided to hold off. Car will most likely see a frame off in a few years anyway and won’t get used to much until then.

I know I could of rebuilt some of this stuff, but decided to go Reman. is stead.

Future projects, trace down leak in rear-end, redo the exhaust.

Wish me luck.

Keith

sounds like your weekend is going to be spent greasy! be sure to buy the molded fuel hoses as opposed to using off the shelf straight fuel hose... don't ask me how i know!!!`

Good luck. Hopefully I will have a busy one working on the '79 as well. It is about time that I pulled the rear wheel bearings and sent them to Van Steel anyway.
