c3 the most undervalued muscle car?!!
I have been following car prices for quite some time, and i feel that the 67-69 camaros are starting to command serious coin. Even for clean 327 powerglide plane-jane models selling for 10 thousand plus! For 10 plus, you get 14 inch wheels drum brakes and a subframed car. . . and suspension not up to par with the vette. As far as I'm concerned, I feel that the typical plane jane c3 is undervalued in comparison to the first gen Camaro. I don't dislike Camaros for I recently owned a 1968. In fact i think they're great classics, but not as great a chrome bumpered vette. Or as elaborate!
Aside frome the Macro-economic answers such as supply and demand relations.
Does anyone have a specific explanation or guess as to why the c3 may be an undervalued muscle car?

i love my 1980 corvette
its may not be "worth as much" as some vettes
that just makes it easier to upgrade to better suspension
and not to forget the upgrade 383 stroker.
the ultimate sleeper!

Compare year for year...apples and apples..
Base 1967 Vette=$40,000
Base 1967 Camaro=$10,000
Base 72 Vette=$12,000
Base 71 Camaro=$4,000
Base 82 Vette=$9,000
Base 82 Camaro=$500.00
There aren't many Camaro or Mustangs that can command the value of a Vette!

Here's undervalued!
I picked up an '88 GTA Trans Am for $0.00 dollars (traded for a 13B rotary engine) that only lacked an engine. I get a WS-6 suspension (4-wheel disc), Recaro seats, 16x8 alloys with almost new Kuhmos and a straight body. By the time I bolt in my '63 327 in and freshen the trans, I'll have maybe a grand in this thing and end up with a ready-to-go track car. Now THAT is an affordable sports car, IMHO!
