I HAVE my rack steering installed for 4 years now.....drive hell out of it every damn day.....

I can't wait to drive mine regularly. 2 weeks until the last parts I need show up.
... and in Norval's defense: he does most of the work during his good horse riding season (ground is white).

I just drive it.
I just drive it.

What am I going to do with my spare time on those winter nights anyway?? I love looking forward to something. No way I could put the car away in the fall and not expect it to come out much improved in the spring . No way. I would loose interest.
My friends Carguy4sureand Vet R put their cars away roughly the same time and really dive into them to improve them. I have to keep up.
We run from about May to late September and then it is take apart time.I spend about $5 or $6000 each year roughly, sometime more so it adds up.
oWorking on my car does not interfer with riding my horse, no way and yes winter is a great time to ride, no bugs , lots of open snowmobile trails and snow covered back roads, a great time.
I feel I have just about run out of modifications and suddenly I find all sorts. Yesterday I ordered Brodix heads for $3000, just about finished the Jeep box install, will start on a spreader bar next, hydraulic rear emergency brakes after that, go through all the rod ends and check for wear and replace any that have any play and then start on the heads. I will spend alot of hours cutting on them. I ordered a number of 6 inch long carbide aluminum cutting burrs to begin once the heads arrive.
I also plan on reworking the blower for more volumn if I have the nerve to start remachining a very expensive part.
NO if I don't come out in the spring with a much improve car my friends will run away from me and I don't get to play with them anymore.
George would also kick my butt so I have to prepare for that maybe some day. I was going with 14 inch brakes on the back also but am backing away from that for now. I might end up with too much brake on the car.
It' s a long winter between now and May 1st and I intend to use it making adjustments, improvements and upping the horse another 100 or 2.
Vett R has one mean little stroker but I hear roomers that he is replacing his already great heads and intake for something even more trick??
I also hear roomers that Carguy4sure might ****** up his heads and intake for his future 40????
I do find that driving at anywhere near the speed limit is boring and the only excitement is trying to triple the speed limit around curves.
Blame Vet R he is making me do it.
His computer is down so I can say anything I want and he can't respond or even now I am talking about him.

Maybe hook up the vacuum advance as well, that'd probably get me into the 10MPG ballpark (I hope!).-dath
I meant the last parts I need before I can start driving her.
My hood won't even be on, but I don't need that to drive legally, do I ?
The windshield and driver seat are key.
There are always new parts, unless the vette is just a trophy (not driven).
