Well I got this tranny fluid on the garage floor. It's been dripping for a while. I'm thinking I need to replace the lines that run to the radiator.
My question is how much of a PITA is it? Should I bring it in and have it done by my mechanic?
I started doing mine last night. It's not that difficult. A little tough to pull the hoses off the metal lines though. After a couple bruised knuckles I got them. Gonna buy some line and clamps at autozone today.
... probably just need the short pieces of rubber hose at the radiator end.
Can you tell exactly where on the car it is dripping ? front nose,
near tranny itself, or somewhere in-between ?
Make sure you buy TRANNY hose - not fuel line. Pretty sure it's 5/16".
Also, I prefer the fuel-injection type clamps with a solid overlapping band.
The regular hose clamps tend to dig into the hose over time.
