speedo transducer
i have come to the conclusion that my transducer is bad, my cable has spun off at the tranny twice. question is can i replace the transducer with a old chevy 77 transducer with cruise out off something other than a vette. or just by pass the transducer completely.

I don't know if they are interchangeable with anything else or not. I bought one for an '81 at Autozone for about $85. If the cruise isn't a big deal to you, just buy the cable for a non-cruise control car.

take the transducer apart take out the spring that is binding up . check that the two gears are turning freely. put it back in .the cruise will not work but the speedo will ,cost zero
