Rain..................

When you drive in the rain, all the slimy, dirty, yukky water that is sitting there in puddles splashes all up and under the undercarrage and into every knook & cranny that you spent hundreds of dollars and FAR too many hours detailing to get as pristine looking as new.
I never drive either of mine if the weather person even mention's rain. My undercarrage's are clean (no dirt/mud) and wish to keep them that way. I seldom wash them as they are always stored under car covers, and only need a quick dusting with the car duster. My paint is scratch & swirl free because of very little washing.
