would appreciate advice. looking at a '72 coupe with #'s matching engine. have looked at pics and looks in very nice shape. has had lots of work done over last 5 years. not original color. 350 automatic. asking $18k What do you think??? what should i look for when i go look at it in person. This is my first crack at at corvette so really need some help.
Besides all the normal looks, look at the 'work that was done'. Has the rear end been rebuilt and just what was replaced and what was rebuilt?
Front end. Engine....
Also receipts for the work. Most people will have them.
The front ends are normal stuff.
The rear ends are not. They are more like front wheel drive. 4 U-joints instead of CV joints. The wheel is mounted similar to FWD. The attaching stuff- Trailing arm and Strut rods have bushings.
This stuff should have newish bushings and the parts should be painted since it was apart, assuming the front or rear was rebuilt.
