Leaking pinion seal
How expensive/hard is it to replace a leaking pinion seal?
Not something I can do myself. Putting in new fluid once a year alot less expensive than the repair, I am guessing.

Any competant shop can do this, I just had it done about a month ago. First the drivesahft needs to be removed, then the diff front bracket needs to be removed to let the diff point down a little. The pinion nut and washer need their position marked in relationship to the pinion shaft, and then removed. The pinion flange is knocked off with a hammer and drift, and then the seal is pried out and off. The new seal is hammered on, and the pinion flange,nut and washer put back on to the same spot they were originally, going past the mark you made just barely. The rest is the reverse of above. Should take ~2hrs to do plus the cost of diff fluid and posi additive.
