A couple big black hookers are causing me problems.
I have a 68 with a great pair of hooker side pipes. I'd love to keep them, but when I look at the back of the car I hate seeing empty exhaust holes. Fake tip are out.
I'd like to remove the bezels and build a filler piece that uses the same screw holes and has the same contour as the valance. Anyone have any advise?
Practially every catalog vendor that carries fiberglass has the "rear filler vallance panel for side exhaust". Zip, Corvette America, and Doc Rebuild are a few examples. Pain it to match your car, and you can install it without removing your bumpers.

I have an eared rear panel on my 72 and it lets you cover the holes without any permanent modification. Be sure to check it for size and bolt-hole location before painting. Mine needed a little filing here and there and a couple of holes redrilled.
