T-Top Storage
My father purchased a '69 coupe this year. It has a bright blue interior. There were no storage bags for the tops. I'm not that familiar with this era, and I was wondering what he'll need to get to return it to original-type condition. Are there brackets or anything that mount in the rear to hold the tops or do the bags just rest in there?

Hinges/shelf in the rear are for rear windows storage.
Also, early C3s had two straps with 2 anchors for each side.
Later C3s had an integral strap with 3 anchors total.
I'm pretty sure new repros are only of the later type.
Lastly, both the bags and straps are dyed to match on early-model-year cars.
Cars made late in the year would typically get
all black bags and straps. It might be tough getting bright blue
bags, but I think I have seen some before on Ebay ... just watch and wait.
Also, for NCRS point, the bags had a date code stamped inside with ink.

here is a photo of my t -top straps in the rear. As mine is an early 70, the t top straps are the same as the 69 with the 2 straps and 2 mountings rather than the 3.
(turn a blind eye to the horrible looking carpet ok!!!!!!!!!)
