Default Replacing Rubber fuel Lines

The fuel supply and return lines from the pump back to the hard lines are worn out. I removed them last night and noticed that they were a little curved. Do you think I'll be okay with using some straight lines from Autozone or do you think I'll have to buy curved ones from Ecklers or someplace like that? Thanks in advance.

You need to maintain a smooth radius with no crimps in the lines....A tight bend with a crimp in the hose would restrict flow...pre-formed curved hoses avoid that....

Dr Rebuild has the repro rubber fuel lines for sale. They have the proper curves, proper ribbing, and color code makings. They're not all that expensive. I've bought some and they appear to be of very good quality. Bought them for my 68. He has other years. As far as I can tell they appear to be duplicates of NOS.

My car would lose power and almost stall on freeway at higher rpm's. Straight hose after heating up and higher rpm's would crimp, changed to pre-molded S hoses vapor & fuel runs great now.

I used straight hose (for now). If you have enough length, and
twist the hose just right, it will not kink. That said ... if you can
wait, order the curved ones.
