Here is a discussion I recall about C3 turbos.
Interesting .. the remote setup, which doesn't require costly headers.
However, it does not perform as well as an under-hood device.
when properly matched there should be next to no lag from the turbo, turbo lag is something that's much more noticable on small 4 bangers w/ large turbos....

The STS setup...won't go into that again
I was watching the videos from sts and the camaro still seemed slow with the turbo
Hey, im in the same boat, i love the turbo and thinking of dropping one in with my Crossfire injection. not hoping to run twelve's, but i want my passenger to grab that door handle like the world is ending. looks like a long road and probally one of those you tell war stories about
I have thought about going turbo on the vette (as well as 1 million other things) but there would be so much to do. I would want a programmable FI / Ignition setup for it too. $$$$
I have a twin turbo setup on my big block but I dont know how to post pics of it on here. Mine makes enough power to break the tires loose at anything under 70 mph, I only have 245.60/15's on the car right now and thats a good thing so I dont tear up everything behind the motor until I get a chance to upgrade the rest of the drivetrain.Any kind of forced induction will be a blast!
It is possible to do something similar to the STS kit on our C3's and it actually could workout pretty well because of our rearends ebing in a fixed position. I was going to go this route before I decided to go back to school so it's on hold for a while.
Here is what it was going to look like,
While a TT setup is really cool, it is also alot more money, but then again on one ever said speed was cheap
Here is where I was thinking about just making the headers for a TT setup (that's my old motor as it was being yanked out ).
It can be a real easy bolt on affair if you find a complete Martin set-up. Not the most efficient set-up, but easy and fits the stock hood. A friend has one on his '78 and reported 1.5 second drop in 1/4 mi et.
