Default Tire Inflation

I bought a reproduction owner's manual for my 73 stingray. I noticed that it says to inflate the tires to 20 PSI. That seems low to me, so I wondered what pressure other people inflate their tires. Is there a difference in modern tires that requires a higher pressure? How do you determine what the best inflation pressure is for a certain situation (considering speeds, temperature, etc...)?

I run 32 psi all around, 235/60R15, tires will run cooler, less rolling resistance too=better mileage.

The '73 did not have "modern" tires as far as I know ???

I run 30-32psi front and back (255-60 and 275-60 tires)

the ride is better with lower tire pressure....i think back then they actually used tires and tire pressure as part of the suspension system.....so the more pressure the bumpier the ride
