This one doesn't know what it is. IZ87L8S405040 <--Vette VINS don't start with I (honest mistake). This seller is also confused, he states "This Corvette has the (L) CODE in the VIN# which means this car was built with the L-48 350ci engine." and then also states "Cowl Hood with the L-82 Emblems."
....its almost as good as "guns don't kill, people do"
Guns don't kill people. If someone wanted to kill you, and they didn't have access to a gun, they'd use a knife, club, poison, Corvette or whatever was at hand.

It's not just on Ebay. I stopped at a classic car place the other day. They had a nice-looking 1979 on the lot. Salesman came out, started talking about how this would be a great investment because that was the last year they made the L82.
this is america. they quit selling truth about 1860 . so buyer beware. im sure this is a common trick, to increase the price. mine also had l-82 badges but in reality is a l-48. when i bought this car, i didnt know a " L " from "Z" or anything. found out later with the vin#
Yes, truth in advertising is lost everywhere. I live in B'ham, Al. and there is a Corvette dealership in Georgia. They advertised a 1975 Roadster that syas, "New Paint, Perfect Interior, Runs, and drives great. Perfect car". I call, ask all about it and I'm told it's a great car. I drive 3 hours to see it, just to be told that the frame is bent and prohibits the power steering unit from being able to bolt up. Not what I would call a "perfect Car".
I don't understand what your gripe is with the last two. I'll give you the first one, you should know what you're selling. "Larger displacement option" I don't think so. Looking at the Corvette Black Book there was no 305 until 1980's CA car. (I thought 82 was 305 only? Black book shows only 350s...)
2nd one, he clearly states that it was originally a L48. We have people here with 427s etc. that put those numbers on their hoods even though it didn't originally come with it.
3rd, maybe I'm missing something but... it is very complete isn't it? Maybe he should've said minor surface rust instead of "no rust" but otherwise I'm not seeing what all the fuss is about.
Considering the blatantly terrible descriptions that come up, these seem like minor issues to me.

I'll admit that the 2nd and 3rd ones are minor, but they are misleading...which was my point.
