When he's not wrenching on and playing with the Red73 Rod does us all either proud or embarasses us. He ran the first 26.2 mile marathon of his life in Detroit last weekend (without the vette) and he's between 48 and 50 years old
You go bro
4 hours 30 minutes. My daughter ran the half marathon last year and talked me into the running the marathon this year. The last two miles kicked my a$$. Thanks bro for sharing my pain with everyone.

Very awesome. I haven't run any, but have heard that they are addictive. When is your next one?
My 56 year old father-in-law started running them in his mid 40's. He has 38 marathons down. He is now in the 50 state club trying to run one in every state.

Congrats!!! My hats off to you! As a recreational runner I am aware of the training involved to prepare for a marathon. Quite an accomplishment!
I run as well, three times a week but only on a two mile course.
I think alot when I run...afraid I'd run out of things to think about if I ran a marathon...4 1/2 hours...I'd come up with a cure for the common cold and forget it before I had a chance to write it down.
Seems like I ran all the time while on active duty. The USMC PT test is a three mile course. I ran 4 ~ 6 miles three times a week to train for the three miles. Now that I'm retired I'm happy with the two miles...my knees appreciate it as well. Still run sub 6:30 miles...I take my medicine quick; get it done. Also it's hard to talk yourself out of exercising when you only have to commit 20 minites or so; 30 with a shower!
On the other hand I have a friend that retired about the same time I did. He told his wife to call 9-1-1 if she ever saw him running again...'cause something big was chasing him!
