Default how low does yours sit

my 77 looks like it sits real low. at the front of the tire carrier it looks to be about 3 in. of ground clearance. is this normal it sure makes me pucker up going over rr tracks or bumps.

That's about the same clearance I've got. I just make a point not to drive over anything higher than 2-1/2 inches high...

The problem is: When you do something about your low rear end, i.e., get a new leaf spring, you end up looking like a 4x4. I don't think anyone has found a spring that delivers the correct ride height without some kind of mod to the rear bolts, front springs, etc.

I think I finally got the perfect ride height on my old '81...at least for looks, she did scrape on occasion, I just slowed down when I saw something coming up that I thought would take some undercoating off.

Fayetteville is a bout 2.5 hours away from me. RiverBend is just a few miles south of New Bern. jd
