my 77 looks like it sits real low. at the front of the tire carrier it looks to be about 3 in. of ground clearance. is this normal it sure makes me pucker up going over rr tracks or bumps.
yours sounds just about as bad as mine. ive got about 4inches and every time i go out my drive way i hear the mufflers scrapeing the ground unless i take it real slow.
The problem is: When you do something about your low rear end, i.e., get a new leaf spring, you end up looking like a 4x4. I don't think anyone has found a spring that delivers the correct ride height without some kind of mod to the rear bolts, front springs, etc.

I think I finally got the perfect ride height on my old '81...at least for looks, she did scrape on occasion, I just slowed down when I saw something coming up that I thought would take some undercoating off.
