Oil ??? I do it about once/year....but I use Rislone...dump oil,old filter...add four quarts oil + one QT Rislone...drive 20 miles...Change oil,filter again..then replenish new oil,new filter...I don't like leaving additives in the engine...never have done the "flush" deal....

Talkin' tranny fluid bro, not eng oil. Have heard the fluid in the torq conv does not get drained so some recomend a flush or purge where they force fresh fluid through the lines which purges the old fluid out of the t/c. Sounds like a way to make more $ to me but wanted to know if anyone does it or thinks it needs to be done. This is DD somoma with a weak 700r4e so want to make it last as long as possible.
I imagine it should be changed. Never done it though. Places that have a machine generally charge an arm and a leg to do it. An alternative is to drop the pan and drain it. Fill it back up, start the vehicle and repeat for a total of 3 times. That gets most of it out.
