RIP - Roy from Boyd Coddington
Hope this isnt a dupe..........
Guy was an amazing fabricator .........
A post from the discovery forum :-
"This is a post I really don't want to write and it is being done with great sadness. Roy's wife, Laura, had been battling an illness for quite sometime, and last week she succumbed to that illness and passed away. She and Roy were soul mates and needless to say that devastated Roy. Last night Roy joined her in Heaven. He passed away ending his bought with lung cancer.
We wanted to let all of you who wrote in know that Roy did get your messages. He, as well as his family and all of us at Boyd Coddington's Garage appreciated all your thoughts and prayers. Roy was very special to us and he will be sorely missed.
May God bless Roy and Laura."

One of the few left in that garage (that we've seen on the boob tube) worth caring about. Sorry for the loss.

Sorry to hear of his passing, he (and Charlie) seemed to be the only two who knew what they were doing.

That's a shame.
Roy had character, and had a LOT of knowledge hidden inside his noggin.
Rest In Peace, Roy.

I really liked that guy. Had no idea he was doing the show/working while also fighting lung cancer. No wonder he was tired.

My revered thought about him will be when he and Mike (The former Machine Shop Supervisor) went down to some dive bar in Orange County and were mooning the Amtrak train.
Roy got to paint the name of the bar on the buttocks of people before they went out and mooned the train; rather odd, but it was a tradition.

Watching him work was one of the most enjoyable parts of the show.
I sure hope he was able to pass on his skills to other car enthuisiasts during his time here.

He was "old school" - no nonsence - knew what he was doing.....unlike the rest of the knuckleheads in Boyd's garage.

It was moved to Monday nights, but wasn't on last week. Don't know why though.

They were showing Rousch Racing X this past Monday night rather than AHR.
I stopped watching AHR after Mike got fired; show's not interesting anymore.
