Default Help what tool!!!!!!!!!

I thought I owned everytool known to man. I can't find a socket or anything to fit the bolts holding the u-joints together. What do I need. Thanks in advance.

Mine are 7/16" 6 point the onlly other type I have seen are 12 point 7/16". Maybe a pic of the ones you have might help. How did your car fair through the storm? Mine did good, my shop was still standing when we returned home so I feel very lucky.

I don't remember buying any special tool for this, I think it's just a 'normal' 3/8" hexagon on these nuts... which bolts are you talking about ? halfshafts or driveshft U-joints ?

I figured it out had to be a 12 point 7/32 I was trying a 6 point socket!
Got the broken one out.

Car came through the storm ok. We only had high winds here and it was in my shop.

Thanks for asking I'm glad yours came through ok too.

They could be what they call inverted torques that is what is on my 80 and they are a pita to work with I would use a special socket that you can get at most parts stores but once they are out I would put in different ones you might also try a 5/16 12 point boxed end wrench see if that helps.

I believe that's what they were but I got em out with a 7/32 12point I'll replace em for sure what a pain!
