Default Need Help

Has anyone evere replaced a seat back release button. The bezel is fine. How do you get behind the release mechenisim to screw on the button.

any help apprieciated.

It's been a while since I've done my seats but.....I think you're gonna have to take the seat back off....then cut the hog rings and pull the cover over the top to access the screw that holds that button on. There's 4 small bolts (2 at top and 2 at bottom) that hold that latching mechanism in place. The mechanism needs to be pulled away from the frame to get to that screw. There's also a piece of foam that will need to be taken out. When the button is replaced you'll then have to replace the foam and pull the seat cover back into place and re-hogring it. It's a bit of a chore.... Here's some pics that kinda shows how it's put together.



Edit....I should add that this is going to be much easier done with the seat out of the car and the seat back separated from the bottom.
