1978 Rims question
I was wondering if that red line around my rims is important to keep? Mine is getting a little worn down and I want to repolish my rims, can I have someone put that red line back on and will it hurt the value if I have it removed.

I think that the redline on the 78 pace car wheels really sets them apart from the other cars. It just goes with the cars style.
I would try to keep them or have them replaced with pinstriping like
Big G suggested.

I used red stripe tape on mine. looked good and never came off.
I just polished the rims, painted the slots a flat black and applied the stripes. I used new lugs and new caps. looked great for the effort I put into it.
