1977 Corvette; 4 Sp; L48 non-number matching car

Go the bad news on the engine. It’s going to take almost as much $$$ to rebuild that it will take to get a new engine. I want to show the car and run a little autocross. I have been reading the NCCC rulebook and do not want the car to move to the Group III class. (I have nice stock looking car and I don’t want to have to add a roll bar/ 3inch seat belts to run Autocross)

Will one of these engines allow me to stay within the rules and still compete in Group II?

If these engines don’t work can someone suggest one that will

Thanks

I'd contact your Regional Competition director.

I have NO clue about NCCC race rules/classes, but your director would know.

Ask your club governor for the name of the competition director. Chuck

I used to race 1B class...I believe either engine will be legal for 2B, as long as you don't add headers. Local NCCC events are not teched too rigidly. You should get the rule book to be sure. Many Vettes run crate engines, btw.
