I personally like the Noah by Wolf as a great all around cover. There are probably better outside covers and even better inside ones, but for an all around cover I think the Noah is best... in fact I have 4 of them. They last a good long time, keep the dust off and provide a measure of protection from "little ones" in the garage. Outside they are water repellant but do breath allowing moisture vapor out.
The NOAH material is great for water, but is water resistant and not highly UV protected.
Same goes for all car covers; none of them are waterproof, short of putting a piece of rubberized or plastic material over the car. Doing that then prevents the car cover from being "breathable", which then can induce nasty little things like mold.
I've got a custom fit Covercraft Weathershield that fits our C3; it's a breathable material, lightweight, and water resistant, plus highly UV resistant. Great cover for Southern California, where we get tons of sun that likes to destroy things like leather seats, dashpads, and paint jobs...It does a great job of keeping dew off the car, but in a heavy downpour it won't hold up to a solid drenching. Covercraft, Coverking, and Wolf all state this on their websites.
I got my Covercraft Weathershield from AJ USA, picked it up for $240 using their promo codes on the website. If you call them they can give you saver discounts over the phone too.
It breaks down to your choice, but if your car is going to be out in the sun a lot, I like the Weathershield covers better than the NOAH material.
