Default Wiring loom idea

First I should say I hate those split plastic things. Ugly but thats me, I mean thats my opinion not that I'm ugly.
I thought of 2 ideas about the same. This is more of a glitzing idea than anything else.
1st is bending SS tubing where it needs to run along the firewall, fender and such. Take it off and cut a slot in the side. Polish it if it isn't already.
Mount it and slide the wires in. To finish the slot stick some colored closed cell foam rod into it. Regular grommets for the wires coming out the slot. Silver tubing with say a red line running along it. Not sure about the wires exiting it, how to cover them.

2nd is using colored plastic hose. Same idea the slot should be self closing though. The runs from the fender to engine could be done easier with this method than the SS since the metal would hang on the wires instead of supporting them. The plastic does too but just like the split looms do.

What I found on the plastic tubing is in the bigger sizes it won't radius tight enough, just heat it up and help it.

Need a few people to try both methods so I can decide which to do.

Do you have any idea how long it lasts?
I've shyed away from it. My boat had the plastic chinese finger puzzle stuff for the rigging to OB and it was faded and falling apart.
I don't mind it except for that. Have no idea how old it was or if it had been super exposed to the elements.

I think the same thing in stainless steel would look just as good but be more durable.
