Default Its Alive

well after 2 years of working on this beast i finally started her up and she sounds nasty (for the whole 5 seconds that i let her run) with the side pipes even with the quietest inserts that jethot sold with the side pipe kit. ooooohhhhhh my gosh im so excited i dont think that there is anything that can upset me right now. it feels like a 1000lbs has been lifted off my shoulders. tomorrow im gonna break the cam in and try to get a video cliip of her running so if someone would like to host it for me that would be great. this is me from all the excitment.

I love the way side pipes sound. The neighbors hate it when i start it up with them.

Hey congrates! I know how u feel as my vette was down 3-4yrs (lost count) for a head & cam change.
Well becareful and don't be surprized at all if other little problems show up.
But if u took ur time and did things right u will have a fun ride for several years.

ok so i just finished wireing up the dual spal fans and fixed a littel fuel leak that i had. i think its ready to come out the garage tomorrow and run at around 2k rpm to break the cam in then i have to set the timing as per the instructions that came with the pro-flo efi kit taht i put on it. oh yah and let me tell you taht M&H makes great wiring harnesses and having all new wiring made things a whole lot easier. im just so excited cause i get to run the car tomorrow for more than the two seconds taht i got to run her earlier.

ok so i go to start it and i get it running but its hard to keep it running and it smells like its running way to rich. i couldnt get it to idle on its own and now my head hurts from smelling all the fumes. to make things worse i had to take the hood off so i could set the timing cause there was no way for me to see the timing mark cause of the march pully kit gets in the way. well i have duty tomorrow so im gonna take my beek with me and read it a little more and see if i can figure this thing out. im starting to wish i went with a carb setup.
