Default Headlight upgrades

Hello Everyone, I own a 79 L82.....and my headlights are the standard lights. My question to my fellow vette owners...Any suggestions on better quality headlights. I am a fairly new owner, so i am not familiar with distributors. I would like to find a better brighter headlights for my car...Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

I installed new headlights from AutoZone and I didn't notice an improvement over the old ones...

don't know if there's anything better ...

I was wondering the same thing. I saw these halogen headlamps at Ecklers, and wanted to see if anyone had used them. If they're decent, the price is certainly right at 13 bucks per.

Osram/Sylvania part number is H5006 for the low beams, they're rated at 35watts. I assume that Eckler's headlights are 45Watts or more... the stock high beams are 50watts.

I put in Halogens on mine and the difference was huge. I don't know if the old ones were toast but mine are very bright now.

On my 68 I replaced the stock hi-beam bulbs with halogen bulbs and now they are very bright. If someone is in front of me and i hit the high beams, their interior lights up bright enough so they can read a newspaper.
