I bought some heat barrier and put down in the rear. Don't know if it's required or not, but it makes it quieter back there. On my 76, the arm cushion just sits on the brake console. Guess you could glue or velcro it down if you want.

Arm rests just sits on my 76 as well and in my 79 it sits, but their is a T in the back of the cushion which holds it around the seats. I take mine off and on so much, I would advise AGAINST gluing!! As far as a heat barrier...go to Lowes or Home depot, buy Reflectix..a roll 16"x25' runs about $17.00 and will do the job nicely. As a matter of fact, i ripped my carpet out last night and am putting this down tonight. Good luck. You can find electix in the ROOFING section in the store.

yes, do it. make sure to do under the deck also. makes a big diff on cutting down on noise and yer stereo will sound much better. no need to attach arm pad it'll stay just fine between seats.

Hello
I have those arm pads in my 72 and my 73. They are slightly T shaped and fit between the seats. They hold them selves in ok, and are easy to put in place when you are cleaning the car. I dont know that I would velcro or glue them in. I have not had a problem with them slipping around.
