Gordon the only issue is that AR dont make a 18x9.5 TT2...only a 10. Not many companies seem to make a 9.5" wide 18" rim....plenty in 17x 9.5"
Nick
Is using the 10 instead of the 9.5 a problem. The only problem wit hthe 17s is the tire is small in diameter. The 18s give you a 26.7 dia in the size I'm looking at. I could get a smoking deal on Vintage Wheel works in 17X8 and 17X9.5 with rubber but the tires are just to small in dia. I don't want anything smaller than what I have which is 26" dia.
Forgive me, 77dude. I must have missed that as I skimmed over you long winded, opinionated, pretentious post. Perhaps you would get more help and feedback on this forum if you weren't such an ***.
I joined this Forum to correspond with fellow Corvette owners about Corvettes, to share experiences and as a path to find solutions to problems that would otherwise take me long time to find on my own. I did not expect to see here flag waving racists trying to meddle into matters they clearly do not understand (simple minded people rarely do). I could spend hours here talking about races, great immigrants that make superb engineers that are now developing “American products” and so on. I do believe this is not the place. Hope these people would use the internet to learn about the history of America instead of to spread their ignorance. Hope not to offend anyone but in case I did, please feel free not to use this forum any longer. It would be a benefit to all.
He is most likely running offset railing arms. I want to know with the car that low are you hiting any road hazards or bumping any speed bumps. My car is not that low and I have only 4 1/2 inches of ground clearance. I do like the stance. I would like to go to 18 inchers in the rear and put on a 9.5 or 10 inch wheel and some bigger rubber.
You're the one going on about "*** crap" and how you won't buy anything non-American.
And you are correct on one thing. This is a great place to talk with other Corvette lovers and get some great ideas. But you also need to do it in a manner that won't **** off the people that could give you the valuable advice you are looking for.
First place, the pic on this link has photoshopped wheels on it, they arent the wheels that are on the car but the pic does give you an idea of what they would look like.

I never knew wheels and tires were such a political issue. I wonder what would happen if we applied the same logic to our cars life blood - fuel and oil. We could all boycott those products from multinational companies that buy their crude supplies in the middle east or communistic Venezuela, or Asia. Or we could realize that the globalization of our economy includes us, both in our jobs, and our purchases. I have a Sony TV, Asian and pretty darn good. most of the vette shops around here recommend tires other than Goodyear. Even Firestone is an Amercan name, but a foreign owned company with lots of offshore production. Anyone want to talk vettes?
Mmmm ...must have missed something about those crappy Nitto tires. They look nice, low noise, wear great, perform well in wet as well as in the dry and only get 1.9 second 60' times at the strip. Oh yeah, forgot to mention they are one of a few companies that produce a 255/50 x 17 tire, which is 27" tall and a perfect fit for the C3 body. Been on my car for .....oh 3 years with NO trouble.
hahah Louis your funny ****. But its true some of the most dependable vehicles are made my Toyota and Honda. Its true they are engineered better from the factory. Its something called tolerances. I love my corvettes. But america has a lot of slop in their motors were the foreign market like Toyota has a more well balanced motor from the factory.. How do you think some of these motors such as these little hondas rev to 9000 rpms without a sweet. BETTER ENGINEERING. Chevrolet could be just as good too if they wanted to be. I just can't figure out why they havn't yet. Get with the times man technology is where its at. We are still using pushrod motors. Why havent they come out with a 4 vavle per cylinder dual over head cam for the corvette yet and keep producing it. The power would be amazing on an engine such as the 427 especially with todays advances in technology and fuel injection. I couldn't even imagine it. The fact is it keeps the vette the fastest bang for the buck. For their other cars they do lack quality id like to see a cavalier rev to 9000 rpms hahaha.
