Default My rebuttal

This is my rebuttal to the thread known as 'wheels/tires':

First of all... GM spent tons of money producing the LS7, that’s why it is used in several other cars. If your engine has to REV at 9,000RPM to get power, it's a piece of crap And there is nothing wrong with motors running on pushrods. The combustion engine has the same basic concept since it was made. Gas + Electricity = Fire... how it produces such combustion is up to the manufacture. If Chevy can produce a 'push rod' motor that produces 505BHP, and 195MPH VRS a 2.4L 4 banger that produces 145BHP, and 110MPH then more power to them. That C6 Z06 has a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds and your calling GM/Chevy crap engineering? You know the C6 Z06 has entered the realm of a super car with many CAR enthusiasts? The only setback is mass assembly line production. And I am not a racist by far.... Since when is supporting YOUR country's economy, and workforce being a racist. At this point in time America can still fight back and get off of the foreign market, and product their won products again. As far as gas, well that’s too far out of our hands. An I have learned to deal with it. Sunoco is the only gas company to use USA oil, and well they're east cost, and I'm west coast. So I'll have to stick with the Muslim terrorist oil. The problem is you people are too sympathetic. You don’t think people are calling us American Pigs, and @$$holes? People do every day. you're forgetting that 2/3rds of the world hates us. Why? Because we believe in freedom, equal rights, and free speech. Also because we are the only superior power left. And don’t tell me I don’t know my history, history is something I know more about than anything. I am one for many products, but not when they are poorly built with poor quality materials, and I don’t support one step up above slave labor wages. I have a system for buying products:
What does it do?
And how well does it do it?
If I can answer those two questions then it’s an OK product
Looking at material, country determines weather it’s a GREAT product, and weather or not I want to support sweatshops, and low labor, and what not. If Americans didn’t or didn't have to ask for wages at above $10 an hour in a factory, I bet we can produce COMPUTER motherboards, CPUs, RAM, hard drives, monitors, TVs, VCRs, DVD players with no problem. America's cost of living is too high for a man powered assembly line. This is why work is outsourced to places like CHINA, CHEAP LABOR! My posts may be long, but this is how I explain myself. If you complain about my post' length then don’t reply, as you did not read everything I had to say, which means you can't dignify yourself with a reply. I still respect any car, as a vehicle because it is a symbol of engineering that has come a long way. But when you look at what materials it was made with, and the fact that it was made in a factory that pays 3 cents a day, makes me think.... I don’t want to support this. Not to mention the materials are poorly made to save money, and make more parts quickly.

Also remember that the Chevy V8 is one of the newest designs.
Newer in fact than overhead cammed 4 clyinders.
Newer than turbocharging.

There are GOOD reasons the V8 is a great engine and push rods are one of them.

I've worked on a 4 cylinder DOHC engine made in 1949, although I think the design was actually prewar (and probably wasn't the first.) It was out of a Healey Silverstone. What a monster.

I didn't read the other thread but just thought I'd mention that
