[IMG][/IMG] I had a link to this custom Corvette website but only just visited. I saw the car up close and personal and really liked it. On visiting the site, I thought there was something for everybody. Although it was orginally modified in 78, it has been upgraded over the years and includes some trick mods. The hours of labor involved had to be from the heart. http://www.nightwindvette.com/home.htm
We have a custom vette here in eastern PA known as NIGHTMARE. I've seen this car MANY times, have been with this car in several shows and it is awesome. The owner Don Kellner has put in several Nascar engines and modified this car to get it where it is. I believe the car's over 900 HP....When Don oulls into a show...EVERYONE stops, believe me..Nightmare is that special!

I like the Nose....very clean yet still respectful of the cars design....I dont like the interior at all...looks cobbled together and the color choices remind me of ever rice boy's mitsu around town Im sorry to say...I also agree the wing does nothing for me....
Not that I would do this to a chrome nose car...but I wouldnt be averse to that nose on a later model...
Says the guy with Lambo doors on a vette. To each their own I guess

Hi Guys....Man, I get killed for the "lambo doors" on many posts....My son and I restored a 1976 to a stock mode a few years ago and have enjoyed that immensely..We spent 3 years on that project together...
I wanted to restore or improve another corvette, but modify it a bit. The Greenwood widebody was the way we went...I love all vettes, all years, all kinds...stock, modfied, survivor, race class etc...no matter the year or type. The Lambo doors are an improvement and my HANDICAPPED wife, after her recent stroke can access the car with more ease...The doors do serve a purpose as well.
To each his own I agree....Thats what makes this hobby so wonderful.

I was parked next to Don at the 2004 Reading show and sharded one of the few trees for shade. I spend the day with Don & his wife and enjoyed their company, really nice folks. Pictures do not do his car justice, you gotta see it in person! One of the most awsome pieces of machinery around. He was under the Maguire's tent last year at Carlisle.
The paint on that thing is super!
